They're pretty easy but it takes a special tool. You'll need a fuel line quick disconnect tool. You can buy them at any parts store. I like the round plastic ones personally but there's a few different kinds. Press the tool on the fuel filter and push it into the line. Push the line onto the filter as far as you can and then pull it off. It may take a little elbow grease. Some release very easy and some can be a pain. Release the fuel tank pressure first by lossening the gas cap.
