How to de-pressurise the fuel line to a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5 rs in order to change the fuel filter safely?

I am a car enthusiast who like to service my own car.Unfortunately the owner's manual that comes with the vehicle doesn't go far in helping the ';do-it-yourself'; individual like me.How to de-pressurise the fuel line to a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5 rs in order to change the fuel filter safely?
undo the gas cap, and when removing the filter do one turn at a time until you release all pressure...How to de-pressurise the fuel line to a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5 rs in order to change the fuel filter safely?
Pull the fuse to the fuel pump, start the car, and let it run until it dies. That should bleed off enough line pressure to change the filter safely. I would still wrap a rag or shop towel around the filter when removing to catch any residual gas.
Look for your fuel injector ';rail'; which runs parallel to your spark plugs (this is located above them). Make certain your engine is cold and that you have a rag to absorb excess fuel. Wear safety glasses. On the end of the rail is where you will find the bleeder.
